Fed up with red lights
Fed up with red lights
Letters to the Editor
November 29, 2008 01:48 AM

Our municipal leaders continually sermonize about improving the environment, reducing smog, saving irreplaceable natural resources and conserving energy.

One has to question their sincerity when one travels through  Vaughan and witnesses the promotion of all of the above evils, an observation made possible by the fact that our traffic lights are, by and large, not timed.

One experiences more red traffic lights in Vaughan than in any other area in the GTA.

If our leaders can’t arrange the simple matter of having our traffic lights timed properly, one has to wonder how competent they are when they are dealing with difficult and complicated issues.
