Pay tolls for transit? Give me a break

Re: Toll roads could pay for transit plan, Nov. 20.

No, I am not willing to pay for a toll road in order to improve transit.

If the transit sytem cannot sustain itself, it should be terminated like any other failed enterprise.  

Are transit riders in favour of an increased fair to supplement costs associated with vehicle ownership, such as insuarance, registration, oil and battery disposal tax, and anything that sounds as absurd?
