Recession is here
I feel it through my teeth
Whenever I open my mouth
There is no food to eat.
 
Gas prices were so high
Does the government care?
The answer is ‘NO’
They’re charging us for air.
 
Our economy has collapsed
We should call it defeat
There will be no more jobs
After the crash of ‘Wall Street’.
 
This all sounds frightening
But this is all true
Prepare for the worst
It’s already prepared for you.
