The Markham Waxers certainly know how to throw a party.
Prior to a 2-1 win over the Cobourg Cougars, the Waxers unveiled their South Conference and South-East Conference championship banners.
The win extended the Waxers’ streak to seven games and are now tied for first with the Hamilton Red Wings.
The Waxers, 16-1-2-8, have two games in hand on the Wings as well.
Dylan O’Neill scored both Waxer goals while Chris Azzano stopped 27 of 28 stops.
Tonight, the Waxers travel to Toronto to face te St. Michael’s Buzzers before facing the Toronto Junior A Canadiens Sunday at Chesswood Arena in North York.
