Steps for Southlake fundraiser enters final lap

A free skate is organized to help close out the Steps for Southlake fundraiser.

Participants have worn pedometers since Sept. 17 and raised money based on the number of steps they racked up in more than two months.

There is also an awards presentation prior to Saturday’s skate at the Magna Centre beginning at 5:20 p.m.

Friends and families are all welcome.

In addition to skating, there will be children’s activities, music and special guests.

The fundraiser ends tomorrow at noon.

If you are participating, you can bring your cash and cheques to any RBC branch in Newmarket, Aurora, Bradford or Keswick or call Steps for Southlake at 905-954-0325 to arrange for a pick up.

Online donations to mystepscount.com will be accepted until the deadline as well.
