A Vaughan resident has been charged after York Regional Police were told a man exposed himself in a Woodbridge park.

A young woman spotted a man following her on a bicycle as she walked her dog in Rainbow Creek Park near Hwy. 7 and Martin Grove Road Aug. 4 at 4 p.m.

While walking around the park, she saw the man several times.

The last time she saw him, he was exposing himself near a walking bridge, police said.

The young woman quickly left the area.

Two women walking toward a bridge in the same park Sunday at about 5:25 p.m., saw a man exposing himself, police said.

The man tried to speak to the women, but they ignored him and called police.

As officers searched the area, they found a man who fit the description of the suspect and made an arrest after speaking with him.

A 20-year-old Vaughan man is charged with two counts of mischief and performing an indecent act.

He was released and is scheduled for a court appearance in Newmarket Oct. 16.
