By: Joe Fantauzzi

A dispute between a man and his mother turned violent at a Woodbridge home early Thursday morning, police say.

At about 5:20 a.m., a motorist travelling along Forest Fountain Drive, in the Rutherford Road and Hwy. 27, area spotted a 72-year-old-woman sitting in front of her home suffering from multiple stab wounds.

York EMS rushed the woman to hospital where she underwent emergency surgery for non-life threatening injuries.

The woman’s adult son, Angelo Brevetti, 31, of Vaughan, was arrested at the scene and is charged with attempted murder.
