Raiders headed to football final

The Markham peewee Raiders gained a berth in the Central Ontario Minor Football League AAA final after upending the previously undefeated host Burlington Stampeders 41-8 in their semifinal contest last Sunday.

Ryan Brazier scored two touchdowns for the Raiders while Austin Spilotro, Nicholas Morassut and Marcus Arkarakas each had one. Michael Tapiero booted one field goal and had four two-point converts.

The Raiders face the Scarborough Thunder in this Sunday's final at 2:30 p.m. at Esther Shiner Stadium in North York.
