The Stouffville Mustangs under 12 boys won all three of their soccer matches at the Alliston All-Star Tournament.
Unfortunately for the Mustangs, they finished in a three-way tie for first overall and were relegated to third place based on a goals-for tiebreaker formula.
Buoyed by goals from Spencer Tait, Justin Dube and Christopher Crisolog, the Mustangs opened the tournament with a 3-1 win over Innisfil.
Facing a Markham team in their second match, the Mustangs got goals from David Dwyer, Ryan Manzolini and Dube en route to a 3-0 win.
In their final match against another Markham entry, the Mustangs got a three-goal effort from Dube and one from Javier Perez in a 4-1 win.
