The Markham Rugby Football Club men won one match and tied another when they faced Lindsay in Ontario Rugby Union Keenan Division action Sunday in Lindsay.
The firsts received a pair of tries from Dave McCartney and one from Mark Sewells in a 19-19 tie. Alex Koppel booted two conversions for Markham, now 2-1-1.
The seconds received a pair of tries from Mike Devries, one try, one penalty goal and two conversions from Jim Leech and a try from Gavin Howe in a 29-0 victory.
The win improved the seconds’ record to 2-2.
The Markham men’s firsts and seconds play host to London St. George’s Saturday at 1:30 and 3 p.m. at the club’s home field on Austin Drive, just west of Markville Shopping Centre.

In other matches involving teams from the Markham Rugby Football Club, the Ajax Wanderers defeated the Markham women 15-10.
Ashleigh White scored two tries for Markham, now 1-1-2.
In under-14 action, Markham routed Oshawa 39-5 and Peterborough 38-26.
Haydn Gibson scored four tries against Oshawa while Shiran Navaratnam had two and Maxx Gibbons one. Tim Chapman kicked two conversions.
Against Peterborough, Gibbons and Gibson each had two tries while Chapman had one. Scott Hechstedtt made four conversions.
The Markham under-12s took to the pitch in Aurora for a tournament and finished second with victories over Ajax and Aurora before losing to Oakville.
Tries for Markham were scored by Andrew Coe, Laura Monk, Alex Pope, Tim Dekauwe, Riley Robinson and Robert Vargas.
