The Stouffville Mennos won their home opener Thursday against the Oshawa BB Juniors without swinging a bat or throwing a ball.

Three hours before the first pitch was to be thrown at Memorial Park, Oshawa was unable to field a team.

Now 1-1 on the season, the Mennos are scheduled to resume league play Monday at Newmarket and play their next home game Thursday against Lake Simcoe at 8:30 p.m.
