A hotdog on a spring day is nice, but when the cost to buy it raises money for people with spinal cord injuries, the taste is that much better.

If you work near the ScotiaBank branch on Cochrane Drive, you can make your purchase May 29 during the second annual Rick Hansen Wheels In Motion barbecue fundraiser.

The event is at the Howard Johnson Hotel parking lot (625 Cochrane Dr.) and takes place between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. A hamburger and pop is $4, but hotdog afficionados can get a combo for $2.50.

ScotiaBank is inviting 3,000 people working in the area through flyers, spokesperson Mary de Miranda said, adding she hopes as many as 2,000 attend.
