A banquet hall company which owns eight restaurants and grand halls is about to add to its list, opening a second Markham event facility.
The 18,000-square-foot Markham Event Centre is at 95 Duffield Dr.
“We focus on two different cuisines, western continental and Chinese. We are the very first to do it in Canada,” said Ambassador Group business director Christina Li.
“We chose a location very close to downtown Markham because this is a progressing city; it is always growing.”
The success of the company’s La Rosa hall on Woodbine Avenue and Hwy 7 is the main reason for opening the centre.
“We chose Markham because, why not Markham? I cannot think of a place better than here,” Ms Li said.
