Builder puts $500K in hospital expansion fund

Expanding Markham Stouffville Hospital moved a bit closer to reality, thanks to a $500,000 donation from a land developer.

Cocktails, speeches and unveiling of a sign to honour the charitable arm of Times Group Corporation takes place tomorrow at 3 p.m. at the hospital auditorium.

The long-delayed expansion of the Ninth Line facility is slated to begin in 2010.
