Concrete falling from an overpass on Hwy. 400 northbound near Bradford has backed up traffic for about five kilometres, OPP say.
Only the left-hand lane remains open.
A piece of concrete that fell from the bridge hit a car passing underneath, injuring one man.
Police arrived on scene shortly after 12:30 p.m. today after receiving a call that a car travelling northbound under the overpass had been hit by falling concrete, Const. Graham Williamson said.
Provincial police say the concrete smashed through the driver-side window as the man was driving northbound on Hwy. 400 near Bradford.
The man suffered unspecified minor injuries.
Const. Williamson said he did not know how large the concrete slab was or how it fell off the bridge.
