2 injured in Markham crash

Two female drivers were hospitalized after a collision in Markham Monday.

A silver Honda Accord and a gold Toyota collided in the southbound lanes of McCowan Road, south of Hwy. 7 after one vehicle turned out of a plaza on the west side of the road, a York Regional Police officer said at the scene.

The Accord sustained front-end damage in the collision.

Both drivers were taken to hospital but the extent of their injuries was not immediately known.

The area was completely opened to traffic by 12:15 p.m.
