York Regional Police believe fires at two abandoned Richmond Hill buildings last night may have been deliberately set.

At about 1:20 a.m., the buildings, in the King Road and Bathurst Street area, were found ablaze and fire crews from both Richmond Hill and King Township responded.

Roads in the area were closed for several hours as emergency crews battled the fires.

A probe continues, Det.-Const. Andrew Quibell said.
