How much muck can you chuck at Puck's?
How much muck can you chuck at Puck's?

If the upward turn in temperature calls you to the open road, one drive you might like to make this weekend is to Schomberg, where Puck’s Farm hosts its 27th annual Manure Festival.

Promising enough poop to scoop for even the most enthusiastic gardener, there will also be gardening seminars, free seeds and as much free advice as there are road apples in May.

Queen of the Heap; Miss Manure 2007, will be on hand to host the games. With family favourites such as cow patty bingo, the ever-popular cow pie toss and the somewhat-less-popular cow pie catch, the day will be heaps of fun — and there are prizes for the winners.

Naturally, there will be lots of farm animals you can visit, including some babies for petting. There are also unlimited pony rides and horse-drawn hay rides.

The festival starts Saturday from 10 a.m. and runs all weekends through May. Admission is $8 a person.

Puck’s Farm is located on King Concession 11, between Hwy 9 and King City Sideroad.
