Susan Plamondon will be Georgina’s chief administrative officer, replacing Stan Armstrong, who retires at the end of the year.

Georgina council officially confirmed her hiring this morning.

Ms Plamondon is employed by the Town of Newmarket as its commissioner of legal and development services in addition to being the municipal solicitor “providing leadership to building and bylaws, planning, legal services and economic development”.

She has worked for the Town of Newmarket since 1986 and prior to that served as the town’s trustee on the York Region District School Board.

Ms Plamondon takes over on Dec. 1.
