If you missed last night’s federal all candidates meeting at the Leacock Theatre, there will be another opportunity to question the York-Simcoe hopefuls at tomorrow’s Georgina Farmers Market at the Ice Palace.
All candidates for the York-Simcoe district have been invited to set up a booth at the market from 2 to 7 p.m. to meet and greet their community and answer any questions their constituents might have, spokesperson Tricia Richens said.
“The Farmers’ Market is the perfect place to get involved with your community and explore the issues surrounding this year’s election,” she said.
“It provides an informal setting to introduce you to the candidates and clarify any concerns or questions that you may have regarding the community and our country at large.”
Only 64 per cent of Georgina voted during the last election.
“Choose to cast a ballot. Meet the candidates. Have your say. Exercise your democratic right,” Ms Richens said.
