Fans of Broadway musicals are going to enjoy the final production of the season at the Red Barn Theatre.

More Broadway Treasures comes after last year’s big hit, Broadway Treasures.

Once again, the Red Barn’s artistic director Jordan Merkur is in the director’s chair.

Michael Barber is the musical director and Phil Nero the choreographer for this show.

Scott Campbell, Louise St. Cyr, Sarah Blair Irwin and Cameron Macduffee sing and dance.

Mr. Campbell’s past credits include Hercules The Muse-ical in which he played Hercules, West Side Story as Tony and Marius in Les Misérables.

Mr. Macduffee, who looks uncannily like a young Frank Sinatra, spent four seasons at the Shaw Festival and has been nominated for Dora and Merritt awards.

He is also a member of the band The Done Me Wrongs.

Ms Blair Irwin pays a return visit to the Red Barn and her past credits includes Anne in Anne of Green Gables, Cinderella in Into The Woods, and Laurie in Brighton Beach Memoirs.

She also starred in her own one-woman show.

Ms St. Cyr’s career highlights include performing in the world premiere of The Lord of the Rings at the Princess of Wales Theatre.

She’s also been in Mamma Mia at the Royal Alexandra, Showboat, Little Shop of Horrors and Ain’t Misbehavin’.

She has TV and film appearances as well.

The four work hard to present about 40 songs, interspersed with dancing and narrative.

Hits include old favourites such as Some Enchanted Evening, Lullaby of Broadway, Summertime, Oh What A Beautiful Mornin’ and newer hits from Rent, Sweeney Todd and Les Misérables.

Broadway aficionados will enjoy hearing some lesser-known Rodgers and Hart songs like You Mustn’t Kick It Around (Paul Joey, 1940) and Ten Cents A Dance (Simple Simon, 1930).

More Broadway Treasures continues at the Red Barn Theatre until Sept. 6. For ticket info call 905-722-3249.
