Dominic Monardo and David Morley scored in a shootout and netminder Brendan Sullivan blocked both shots he faced as the Tigers edged the hosting North York Rangers 4-3 in an Ontario Junior Hockey League Phillips Division contest Wednesday night.

Monardo, along with Thomas Evans and Brandon Happeney, scored in regulation time for Aurora and improved its record to 7-2 with its second consecutive win and moved into third place, one point behind North York in the division standings.

Zack Pilote had two powerplay goals for the Rangers.

The Tigers host the Dixie Beehives Friday night at the Aurora Community Centre. Game time is 7:30 p.m.
