Last week — Saturday — Lost 3-2 at Orangeville Crushers ... Friday — Won 3-2 (OT) vs. Couchiching Terriers.

Coming Up — Tonight at Collingwood Blues ... Wednesday at North York Rangers ...  Friday vs. Dixie Beehives, Aurora Community Centre, 7:30 p.m. ... Sunday at Milton Icehawks.
Game Notes —  Devin Mantha’s power-play goal midway through the third period capped the Crushers comeback from a two-goal deficit as Phillips Division-leading Orangeville snapped the Tigers five-game win streak with a 3-2 victory. Cody Smith and Jacob Mooney staked Aurora to a 2-0 lead in the second period before the Crushers struck for two goals before the intermission. Aurora managed just three shots in the third period ... Lucas Van Natter scored on a breakaway with 2.6 seconds remaining in overtime as the Tigers survived a Terriers’ rally late in the third period. Following two scoreless periods, Aurora staked out a 2-0 lead on goals by Brandon Happeney and Phil Bushbacher in a 39-second span early in the third period, before Couchiching forced overtime with a pair of goals in the final 10 minutes, including the tying marker by Tyler Swan at the 16:55 mark.

The Skinny — Rookie Nick Vangog leads the Tigers in scoring with nine points, including four goals. The six-foot, six-inch 225-pound Aurora resident has counted one point in each of the Tigers seven games to date and has two game-winning goals ... The Tigers enter play tonight at Collingwood in fifth place in the Phillips Division, two points behind the Terriers ... Head coach Jerome Dupont is not distressed at the fact his club plays eight of its first 11 games on the road. “I’d rather have it that way because it allows me to evaluate my team better,” he said. “You get a better perspective because it is harder to win on the road.” ... Terriers head coach Greg Hotham, an Aurora native, and Dupont were teammates briefly as members of the American Hockey League’s Newmarket Saints.

Say It — “I’d be more concerned if it was major breakdowns, but it is worth mentioning,” said head coach Jerome Dupont, whose team led both weekend games by two goals en route to a split.

Record — 5-2, 5th in Phillips Division.
